Finding music you are allowed to put under your own riding footage is a genuine problem. Upload a session with a track you like and the claim lands before the video finishes processing. This episode is both a music video and an answer to that: the song in it is free to use in your own eFoil content.

The track and the edit

Solidstate (Retrace) is performed by Raster Ops and sits firmly in synthwave territory, all pulse and forward motion. The footage under it is top end speed work on the Lift5 Pro, cut to keep pace with the beat rather than to explain anything. The lyric that gets to the heart of it is the one about no signal, no noise, no choice, just forward motion, which is a fair description of what an eFoil at full speed on flat water actually feels like.

Why speed footage needs the right music

An eFoil makes almost no sound. Strip the audio off a fast run and you have footage that looks quick but reads as calm, because there is no engine note telling your ears what your eyes are seeing. That gap is what a driving track fills. Match the cut rate to the tempo and the same clip suddenly carries the sensation the rider had, which is why so much of this channel’s speed material ends up as a music piece rather than a commentary one.

Using it yourself

The song can be downloaded and used for free in your own eFoil videos through verdantride.com, alongside the rest of the library there. If you have been posting silent clips or quietly hoping a copyright bot misses you, that is the easier route.
