Verdant Ride Launches: The Complete eFoil Resource Hub

A miniature tilt-shift diorama of everything on Verdant Ride: an eFoil rider carving across a model lake, ringed by a video screen, album covers, a globe of ride pins, a wall of achievement badges, an events calendar, a phone on a tripod timing a race gate, a 3D printer making wing tags, and a Verdant Ride shirt

The “Under Construction” banner is gone.

I have been building Verdant Ride for a while now, and for most of that time the honest thing to do was tell people so. Today is the first day I can say the opposite. The site works, the tools work, and there is enough here that an eFoiler who has never heard of me can land on the front page and find something worth their time in about ten seconds.

Here is what that means in practice.

What Verdant Ride is trying to be

When you come to Verdant Ride, I want you to be able to find everything you could ever possibly want to see, hear, read or feel about this sport. Not a shop with a blog attached. Not a brand page. A resource, built by someone who rides several times a week and keeps the receipts.

The site is organised into three halls, and everything below lives in one of them: Content is what you watch, listen to and read. Ride is everything you do on the water and everything that happens because of it. Gear is the physical stuff and the software that makes it work better.

Content: watch it, listen to it, read it

A miniature diorama for the Content section of Verdant Ride: the word CONTENT in tall white letters on a model shoreline, surrounded by a tablet playing an eFoil episode, four album covers above a sound waveform, two studio microphones, a record on a turntable, an open magazine of eFoil photographs, and a rider carving on the lake behind

Every eFoil video from the channel, searchable and free

The YouTube channel is the show that started all of this, and until recently it lived entirely on YouTube, which meant it was findable only if you already knew to look. Now every publicly available episode is a page on this site. All of them. Carving tutorials, gear reviews that got tested properly, race footage, repairs, long cinematic rides, and the occasional session that went badly enough to be worth showing.

The eFoil video library is searchable and filterable. Type “battery” and you get the battery episodes. Press the Racing chip and you get the races. Sort by most watched and the carving tutorial that has done the numbers goes to the top. Every episode page carries the player, a facts row, the chapter list deep linked to the second so you can jump straight to the part you need, and a written companion piece for the people who would rather read than watch.

Accessible and free to all. No sign up, no gate, no email harvest. Subscribe on YouTube if you want the new ones as they land.

Free music for eFoil videos and content creators

I believe that behind every ride there is a story, and sometimes that story is worth sharing. Music is how you tell it. Music sets the mood, carries the cut, and turns thirty seconds of GoPro footage into something somebody watches twice.

So here is every song owned by me and my companies, and eFoil content creators can use all of it for free in their own productions. Four albums, written and recorded for this community. Credit the artist and you are done. No sign up, no content ID strike, no takedown notice at two in the morning.

If you are editing eFoil footage tonight, that is a real royalty free music library aimed at exactly one sport, and it costs nothing. See the whole music collection.

Other eFoil content producers, podcasts and channels worth following

I am not the only one making this stuff and I am not interested in pretending otherwise. There is a section on the site for other eFoil content producers to reach a bigger audience: a growing list of podcasters, YouTubers, Instagram and TikTok riders, and bloggers. If it is quality and it is about eFoiling, I want to help spread the message.

You will find it at the bottom of the video page under More eFoil Media, alongside the creators who have featured Verdant Ride. There is a suggestion form right there. Know a show that deserves more eyes? Send it. Making your own eFoil content and want to be listed? Send that too.

The eFoil blog: gear reviews, guides and arguments worth having

It would hardly be a website if we were not publishing well written stories about eFoiling, reviewing gear, and having the discussions the sport keeps avoiding. The blog is being built out steadily. What is already there:

Ride: the tools for celebrating the ride

A miniature diorama for the Ride section of Verdant Ride: the word RIDE in tall white letters standing in a model lake, with riders racing through a chequered start and finish gate, a phone on a tripod timing them, a stopwatch, a globe strung with glowing ride pins, a wall of achievement medals and badges, a leaderboard, a calendar with a location pin, and invitations carrying the Verdant Ride emblem

All across the globe, eFoiling is slowly changing from a strange rare sighting into something that will someday be the most popular watersport everywhere. I built a set of tools to help us all celebrate the ride and share that celebration with other people.

Global eFoil ride logging, a world map, leaderboards and 100+ badges

Log a ride and it lands in three places at once: your own history, the community world map, and the leaderboards. The map shows where people are riding, what they are riding, how long, how far, how fast and how efficiently. If there is a metric that might be interesting to know, I want to collect it and share it.

Rides with a GPX file also get a fastest minute figure, which is the only number on the site that measures pace honestly instead of averaging your rest stops into it. Battery percentages are recorded alongside distance, so efficiency per wing set is a real comparison rather than a guess. That is what makes the community stats and leaderboards worth reading rather than worth arguing with.

There are leaderboards because it is fun to see who is riding the most, the fastest and the longest. And there are more than 100 badges to win from the system, because gamification is a genuine catalyst for motivation. Some are easy. Some of them nobody has taken yet.

Find eFoil events near you, or host one in about a minute

The hardest part of this sport is not the riding. It is finding somebody else out there doing it. So I built the Verdant Ride eFoil Event Coordinator to make hosting, promoting and managing any eFoil event genuinely easy.

It finds riders near your event and helps you invite them. It helps riders find eFoil events happening in their neighbourhood so they can hook up and ride with other eFoilers nearby. And it does the boring part: rosters, times, leaderboards, awards, and a page for the event that everybody can actually link to.

If you are an eFoil reseller, a trainer, a school, or in any way in the business of eFoiling, you can use this tool for free to find riders, be found by riders, and promote your demo days, lessons, clinics and meetups. If you are just a guy who built a race course in a quiet bay and wants somebody to race against, it will find them, roster them, and keep track of every race time, leaderboard and award.

All of it is discoverable on the Verdant Ride website, for hosts and guests alike, and it is already working. Our event pages are indexed by the major search engines and turning up on the first page of results, with the date, time and location pulled straight through into the listing itself. That means somebody searching for eFoil events near them can find your meetup without ever having heard of this site, or of you.

One practical note: post early rather than the night before. A new event takes a few days to be crawled and start showing up, and crawl schedules are not ours to control.

The first big one on the calendar is Twin Cities FoilFest ’26.

A fully automatic eFoil race timer that runs on a phone

This is the one I am proudest of. The Verdant Ride Race Marshal is a fully automatic eFoil race timing system, and it runs on any phone with a camera and a modern browser. No timing loops, no transponders, no beam gates, no five figure invoice.

Set the phone up, aim it at your start and finish gate, and arm the system. It watches every rider through the gate, starts their timer, and stops it when they come back through. Every rider gets timed. Every rider gets a photo finish, so a human judge can review the call and adjust it, accurate to as fine as one sixtieth of a second depending on the frame rate of the camera you used.

It integrates with the Verdant Ride eFoil Racing League and the Event Coordinator automatically, so results, leaderboards and awards all keep themselves up to date. It even builds a social page for the race where everybody who turned up can share photos and video and talk a reasonable amount of smack.

Gear: files, mods, merch and what is coming

A miniature diorama for the Gear section of Verdant Ride: the word GEAR in tall white letters on a cutting mat, laid out with three yellow 3D printed keychain wing tags, a running 3D printer, eFoil boards on stands, a tool roll, a board bag, a Verdant Ride t-shirt, mug and towel, and a rider on the water behind

eFoil 3D print files, mods and software

If you want custom mods for your board, there is a growing library of files here to help you make your gear, and your experience of it, better. Right now that means print ready keychain gear tags for 49 Lift front wings and 23 Fliteboard front wings, current and discontinued, in three builds so you can print them on whatever machine you own. The Bambu plates are already laid out and there is an illustrated guide in every download.

The whole Python generator is there too, if you want to add a wing that is not in the set or change the geometry yourself. Coming next: 3D scans, so you can make your own nose guards, grip handles, camera mounts and things nobody has thought of yet. This section is honestly the earliest stage of anything on the site, but there is enough in it that I feel good launching with it.

Merch

If you want to wear Verdant gear, you can buy it in the merch store. That is the entire pitch.

Boards and eFoil gear for sale: coming soon

I realise monetisation is a thing every resource eventually has to do, and soon I will be selling boards and eFoil gear here. All of it vetted by me and by people I trust, because a recommendation is worth nothing if it is only worth the margin. Several deals need signing and all of them are in the works. Stay tuned.

What is live today, and what is not

I would rather be straight about this than let you find the gaps yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Does Verdant Ride cost anything?

No. The videos, the music, the ride logging, the leaderboards, the badges, the Event Coordinator, the Race Marshal timing app and the 3D print files are all free. A free account unlocks hosting, ride logging and your rider profile, and it takes about a minute to make one. Merch costs money, and board sales will when they arrive.

Can I really use the music in my own eFoil videos?

Yes. Every track in the Music Finder is owned by me or my companies, and eFoil content creators are welcome to use it for free in their own productions. Credit the artist. That is the whole licence.

How do I find eFoil events near me?

Use the event finder. It searches by proximity, so it shows you what is happening within range of where you actually are, whether that is a demo day, a lesson, a clinic, a casual meetup or a race.

What hardware do I need to run the eFoil race timer?

A phone with a camera and a modern browser, and something to stand it on. That is it. Timing resolution depends on your camera’s frame rate, up to about one sixtieth of a second, and every result comes with a photo finish a human judge can review and correct.

Do I need a GPX file to log a ride?

No. Rides logged without one still count for distance, duration and battery use. A GPX file adds the fastest minute figure, which is what the pace leaderboards run on, so rides without one are not eligible for those particular boards.

I am an eFoil dealer, school or trainer. Can I use this?

Yes, and for free. Host your demos, lessons and clinics through the Event Coordinator. It will help riders near you find you, and your events become pages that search engines can index.

Which eFoil wings have 3D printable gear tags?

All 49 Lift front wings and all 23 Fliteboard front wings, current and discontinued, in three builds. Files, plates and illustrated guides are on the downloads page.

Where to start

If you have five minutes, search the video library for whatever is annoying you about your board this week.

If you have ten, log a ride and put yourself on the map.

If you have an afternoon and a bay to yourself, post an event and see who turns up. That is the one that changes the sport.

And if something here is broken, wrong, or missing, tell me. That is how it all got built in the first place. More about who is behind this, if you are curious.

See you out there.
