A failed eFoil jump takes about a second, which is nowhere near long enough to learn anything from. This short fixes that by stretching the footage out to twelve times slower than real time, so the falls play at a completely different time scale.

Why jumping an eFoil is its own problem

The comparison offered is a wakeboard. Getting airborne on a board is not new, and the movement itself is broadly similar. The difference is what you are levitating on: a foil and a propeller spinning at around five and a half thousand rpm. That single fact changes the risk of every landing, and it is why jump attempts here get treated with more caution than the trick itself would suggest.

What the slow motion actually shows

Watching a wipeout at normal speed tells you it happened. Watching it at a twelfth of the speed tells you how. You can follow the sequence properly: where the board goes, how the rider separates from it, and how much distance ends up between a body and the hardware. It is a short piece with no commentary, and it works best as a study of a moment you would otherwise never see clearly.
