Some days the board wins. This one is a compilation of exactly that: a session where staying upright was not happening, turned into a reel of falls, crashes and wipeouts rather than being quietly deleted.
Shot from the nose of the board
The camera is an Insta360 mounted to the front of a Lift eFoil, which is what makes the footage worth watching. A crash filmed from the shore is a person disappearing into the water. A crash filmed from the board shows the moment things went wrong, and the point of view stays with the board rather than the rider, so you see what the board does after it lets go of you. Slowed down, the whole sequence becomes readable instead of instant.
Why a bad session is worth keeping
If you are learning, this is the reassuring part of the sport. Everyone falls, including people who have been riding for years, and a day of repeated wipeouts is not evidence that something is wrong with you or your setup. It also has a practical use: watching your own falls back in slow motion is one of the better ways to work out what you were doing in the second before each one, which is information you never have while you are in the water. Most of these are simply the result of a day where nothing was connecting, which happens to everyone at some point in a season.
