The course
Verdant Ride Extended
Zigzag through gates 1, 2 and 3, a high speed straightaway out to buoy 4, then a straight run all the way back to the end gates.
Half a mile total. Four yellow turn buoys with buoy 4 farthest out, two green gate buoys 8 to 12 ft apart. Three runs each, best single time counts.
Notes from the Host
Course is set in the bay off Oakledge Park, launching from the ramp at the south end of the beach. Extended layout, buoys go in at 10:00 and the reference time is run before anyone else rides. Check in at the marshal tent by 10:45 with your own board, helmet and impact vest. Experienced riders only. Water is cold in October, so bring a wetsuit. Entry is $25 at check in, cash or Venmo.
