Family holidays and eFoil content do not usually overlap. This one did. While the kids were in a surf lesson at Jobos Beach in Puerto Rico, the afternoon turned into a meet up with Nick Leason to look at new accessories from Lift and to ride some of the biggest, most intimidating waves this channel has taken on.

What the teaser actually shows

This is under two minutes long and it is a tease rather than a review. The whole thing is built around a question repeated at you: what is this thing, what does it do, and why is Lift letting it be shown at all. The only claim made about it is that it turns a Lift5 into something dramatically lighter to ride. No numbers, no price, no release date. If you want a spec sheet, this is not where you get one.

Why Jobos Beach matters

Puerto Rico is Lift’s home water and Jobos is a serious wave spot, which makes it an odd and useful place to test gear that has spent most of its life on Minnesota lakes. Riding surf changes what you care about in a setup. Weight and how quickly the board responds start to matter far more than range, because you are repositioning constantly and paying for every kilo when a set comes through. That is the context to hold onto when the accessory itself gets a proper look in a later episode.

Treat it as a bookmark

Short episodes like this one exist to mark a moment rather than explain it. Worth watching if you follow Lift releases closely and want to see the first glimpse, easy to skip if you are after riding technique or a buying decision.
